Neglected?

How time flies. My blog was neglected once again for 3 months. Am so busy with everything around me. And now that it is April, I have lots of things in mind to plan. Taiwan trip is coming real soon, and I'm so excited because I will be spending my anniversary with Aki there. Now what should I buy for him?

Right after I'm back from my trip, there's a graduation waiting for me. Not forgetting there is Aki's birthday coming after the graduation. Everything is coming real soon, and I have yet to do any planning for it.

Gotta get busy now, I need lots of time.

La Mer & Sk-II

It's been a few days since I last update my blog because I was busy with work. Finally my off day has arrive, and it comes exactly on my pay day as well. Decided to do last minute shopping for Chinese New Year clothes.

So ever since I did my facial at Ucara the other time, I had this enthusiasm to get my skin conditions improve. The very next day after facial, I've decided to test Sk-II again (since my mom has a range of Sk-II products). In the past, I tried it for a few times, but it doesn't seems to be working. Decided to do some reading on their products via internet, and I realised that I've not been using the right products for my face then. Blah~

Since Pitera essence set has been advertising so much about how well it works within one week, I thought I should give it another chance. So yup, shall update again on how well it works in future.

Besides Sk-II, I had also did some research on La Mer. Creme de le mer is so expensive that I never wanted to spend a single cent on it despite all the good reviews that I read. But since I've got my pay now, thought I should probably start pampering myself a little.

Crème de la Mer

The cream is so thick and I'm not too sure if it will clog my pores. Hopefully not! Just for 1 oz of this goodness, I paid $240.

The other crazy splurge is on La Mer The eye concentrate. The price tag of this mini bottle made my boy's blood pressure raised.
The Eye Concentrate
It only comes in one size, and it cost me $295. Yes, I think I'm crazy too. But anything for my dark circles to be lighten. I love the little roller that comes with it. The coolness is awesome.

So I just started using all these highly recommended products, and my wallet ain't too happy about it. But I'm praying for miracle. So please~

Shall update the outcomes after completing these 2 tubs. =)

Revolve and DINE

When I was young, daddy used to tell me that there is this restaurant that revolves 360 degrees. Each time we passed by Keppel Road, he would point his finger to this old looking tower. I'm intrigued by how diners get to have a different panoramic view each time they look out. Had always wanted to give the restaurant a try.

So, imagine my excitement when boyfie's brother invited us to dine there as part of his birthday treat. Super happy!
Looking sleepy. Rushed back to his place early morning after my night shift just to have a 2 hours nap, and I'm out for this lunch.

When I first stepped into Prima tower, I was taken aback by how old it looks. Boyfie and I can't help but to feel as though we are heading into some factory canteen for lunch. The restaurant is located on the 7th storey, and I was told that the other 6 storeys are used for some chemical process. Which explains why there was this strong unpleasant odour. Having said that, the restaurant is actually free from the odour. Thank God!

The restaurant revolves around slowly, and it actually caused giddiness. My head was spinning and at one point in time, I spilled tea all over the table. Spell clumsy.

Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant offers Beijing cuisine. They are known for 2 signature dishes, namely, Peking Duck and Shredded Scallops with Fish and Egg White. The Shredded Scallops with Fish and Egg White was awesome. I have no idea how this dish was prepared, but miraculously, it tasted like crab. Tasty! Au contraire, the Peking Duck was bad. Poor boy tried Peking Duck for the first time, and had it blacklisted for the rest of his life. Overall, their food were average. Would I go back again? No. I'm just there for the experience.

Did I mentioned that I was disappointed with the view too? Not much of a panoramic scene, really. What I saw: Vivo city, St. James and lots of PSA stuffs.

A bird's eye view. Another reason why I love my new camera. Miniature effect makes the world look like lego.

Pamper your skin

So, lately I've been getting way too conscious with my skin. As age is catching up, I know that I will age faster if I did not start taking care of it. I do not have a proper skin care regime, blame it on my laziness. Fine lines around my eyes, dark circle, eye puffiness, skin discoloration and dry skin. If you had not seen problematic skin, you should probably take a look at me.

Because of this, I tried several skincare products, which obviously proved to be useless. Blah~ And then, I decided that I should pamper myself and tried facial, well, in the heartland of Jurong.

Now, one thing I hate about going to a facial salon, is definitely the pushy staffs. Seriously, it feels like they are more interested in earning commission, than to deal with your face. Secondly, the aftermath. Geez... Who love a red face after a pampering session? Definitely not me! Due to these, I became skeptical whenever I read reviews or advertisment of how XXX facial can help to improve skin condition. Now don't get me wrong. These facials that I tried, did help to improve my skin condition, but not much. So tell me, why should I pay $1000++ for a package that does not to improve my skin?

After doing lotsa research, Ucara spa caught my attention. There were lots of good reviews about it, and there was a trial package for just $59 for first timer. This trial includes a facial (which they claim is painless) and tummy slimming and detox.

Made an appointment with them, and I must say, I am really IMPRESSED! In fact, I was sold. Never have I felt so pampered in a facial session and got myself totally convinced to get myself a package.

The staffs there were really friendly and they gave thorough explanations about what they are about to do. And the amazing part is, I felt so comfortable during the extraction of black and white heads. Read this: NO PAIN. Before the facial starts, they used a skin analyzer to analyze my skin, and explained to me the condition of my skin. Then I proceeded into the room which has a Zen feel, and that makes you feel really comfortable immediately. Cleansing process was rather standard. I was only excited about the extraction of blackhead part. Was pretty sure that it will definitely be painful (I wanna prove them wrong). So the time finally came and they used a kind of machine to extract it out, and at the end of it, you get to see the amount of dirt which was removed. Good riddance!

Alas, I was proven wrong. Besides that, their facial massage was extremely soothing, I could just fall asleep right there.

The tummy slimming and detox is not too bad either. The staff applied the contents of an ampoule on my stomach and then a layer of mask, and wrapped my stomach firmly using clingwrap. Experienced slight warmth (which leads me into thinking that the product is definitely working). After the mask was removed, a massage was done to help remove flatus. Again, the therapist did not fail to explain to me the rationale of each steps done.

When both the tummy slimming and facial was done, I was treated with a fantastic shoulder and neck massage. Really, I've never been this pampered.

Sad to say, I experienced slight itchiness after the facial. That of course stopped me from signing a package with them. The therapist went to cleanse my face again, and applied a cream to soothe the itchiness. Thank God the itchiness improved after I went home.

Now, I'm wondering if I should sign their package? Hmm... For 10 sessions of facial, it cost $888. Pretty affordable. Shall give myself some time to think about it.

Be thankful

Lately, my boyfie went under the knife and got me really worried about him. Thank God that the minor operation went well. Now all we have to do is to wait for his histology result, and I pray hard that it is going to be good news too. Please!!!

Went for my manicure course today. Skipped so many lessons due to my working schedule, and now I'm attending the first class of acrylic. Its not easy, but I'm enjoying it so much! The monomer stinks so badly, and I got a bad headache during my 6 hours class. Blah~ At least, I'm going towards my goal. Had been practising the bits and pieces that I learnt from school on friends that are so nice to volunteer their hands. I'm so thankful! Shall continue to work hard, and make my boyfie proud.

Lastly, have to remind everyone out there that health is really important. Please take good care of own health, and work towards the goals in your life. I'm off to sleep now, really tired lately from juggling between work and taking care of my big boy. Nights~

Best way to end 2010

The last week of 2010, I managed to get a one week off. It was a fun filled week. Everyday whizzes past me quickly. If only time can be encapsulated, I would be more grateful. A picture speaks a thousand words. Shall let the pictures be a summary of my awesome week.

My leave started with an AWESOME Christmas celebration with my baby boy, who bought me the best gift ever! Was extremely happy with it, and definitely surprised! 26th Dec, we headed down to Malacca, cheapest way to save money for our KL trip. The sweet boy was nice enough to get off, just because his irritating girlfriend want to get out of Singapore for a breather during her leave. So on our 2nd day of Malacca, we went down to KL for a short 8 hours, and trust me, shopping there was HEAVEN. Blissful~

So I wanted to get my hair permed over there. I'm so sick and tired of rebonding my hair over and over again. Every 2 months, new curls can be seen, and it look really ugly with 3/4 of my hair being real straight, and that 1/4 being messy curls. Decided to go for a digital perm, and without further ado, I've a complete different look. Love it. It made dressing up as a Gyaru way easier.

Did I mentioned that my new camera has this creative light filter function that made me go crazy over it? Each time I see a place that is well lit, I would snap it and get super excited with the outcome and start to show off to my boyfie like as though he does not know how to shoot such a simple picture. Seriously, its like giving a lollipop to a little kid, and that kid starts to get hyper. Yes, I behave in such manner unconsciously. WTF!

My loot from KL. That's not all. When I went back to Malacca, I continued shopping for Japanese clothes. Loving my new boots. HOT!

Just have to end this post with this picture. Yes, its in Facebook, and I'm happily looking at it everyday, because I'm narcissistic. No photoshop was done to my facial feature, its all the work of makeups.

Geez, when can I start blogging regularly. Au revoir.

2011

Just thought that I should restart my personal blog after a long hiatus since last year. Kissesfromabrokenheart had been locked since then. Lotsa of stuffs in it (some that I don't wanna feast my eyes on again, some that my boyfie will never like to see), therefore, from now on, this is where I will be blogging. Shall try to do it frequently.

Resolutions for 2011 (hoping that it might last, because given my personality, it prolly will stop somewhere, some day):

-complete my diploma in nail academy
-spend more time with my family
-began the countdown for June 13, 2012 with an open heart
-learn more new recipes to cook for the big boy
-save more money
-visit either Cambodia (the country that I wanna visit for the year) or Taiwan (the country that boyfie has always been looking forward to)

Shall end my post here now. Good night!

P.S. Had awesome time with boyfie at City Square today. Shopping in Malaysia is definitely a therapy that never fails to make me smile.
